Your Weakness

Success is step by step but you have to first know your strength apart from your weakness... –Dr. Bankole

Google defined a successful life as one in which an individual believes that they have either maximized their potential or have been able to overcome negative aspects.

This confirms the fact that success is first achieved mentally before physically, the inner satisfaction you experience even without the manifestation of the result of your hard work, commitment, and consistency to an endeavor.

Success is a journey, each step and minute of it matters a lot more than the destination itself. This journey will need you to be in your best state; mentally, physically, medically, and emotionally; if you are lacking in one it might serve as a major setback in your journey to success.

Not only should you horn your strength but you should also work on your weakness.

Imagine a car prepared to embark on a journey with it filled to the brim, the engine in its best condition but it has 3 good tiers and a bad one.

If the car was meant to journey for just 10 minutes and ploy a local route then it would have been understandable if you manage it but a car prepared to journey for hours on a major highway, where it would compete with different automobiles is indirectly on a suicide mission.

Not only will a weakness slow down your progress to success but it will also deny you opportunities. It doesn't matter if you're filled with passion and zeal to see your goal accomplished or if your engine (body) is functioning well if one of your wheels is faulty you aren't going anywhere!

If you are to go far in life, then you must work on your weakness or it will stop abruptly.

Your weakness is an ignored strength waiting to be explored.

Weakness is that thing or character that stands as "but" in your life, it's a bad feature in your story.

Your health could be your weakness
Or your past which you haven't healed from
Or your family
Or your character
Or the way you relate with people etc

I will tell you this:

  1. You must Identify Your Weakness: Knowledge is power when it's discovered, first know your weakness. Reflect on yourself, ask for the opinion of people you know won't be biased, be open to whatever it is they noticed is your weakness and accept their rebukes.
  2. Work on Weakness Till It Becomes Your Strength: Knowing is useless if you don't apply the knowledge you just gained. Application is what brings about transformation; knowing you have a flat tier and changing it is what increases your pace. Do the needful! Read books, attend seminars, and go for counseling if need be but never manage your weakness.
  3. Never Stop Learning: To stop learning is to stop growing; don't stop at your last victory remember it's a journey. It's okay to take a breather but don't stop moving!
